Car Seat Safety Guidelines

Rear-Facing First

Keep children rear-facing as long as possible, until at least age 2 or until they reach the seat's rear-facing weight/height limit.

Proper Installation

A correctly installed car seat should not move more than 1 inch when pulled at the belt path. Get it checked by a certified technician.

Harness Height

For rear-facing: harness at or below shoulders. For forward-facing: harness at or above shoulders.

Expiration Dates

Car seats expire 6-10 years after manufacture. Never use an expired seat or one that's been in a crash.
